doug, Merced, tbr, mo, gstrf, lor Merced is a very difficult task but big margins and lots of money to be made and big demand for servers etc.. but like u said a very slow start...and very long task. Meanwhile intel has to worry about low end. Very difficult business. just trying to focus on longterm ...is all one can do. Achiving clk speed of that magnatitude and deeep sub micron designs has their own special problems and Paul Engle once told me intel will be doing this on 12" wafer another new variable. I get tired just thinking about it and I try to keep focus on long term and let the experts worry about all these problems. Only intels I hold are the really long term ones at cheaper prices and very deep. frankly, i m already tired of my Dells. somehow u get stuck w. these stocks that grow big and u can't sell. I just wish i had less of it. i m buying spiders(spy) cuz i want to do less and less work i really have met my goals and want to simplyfy things but the old habits don't break. tbr: i have few leaps that i purchased this qurter (y2k), i will just sit on it i don't have time to track everything. thx for the article on tbr from Street.com. see what happens in 2yrs. stock is a good value. mo: also i will just buy some leaps and forget abut it. gstrf & lor: i bot these last year and sold them once when i wanted to clean up my portfolio. though i did not know much, bot based on someone's recommendation and nerver took time to understand it. NOw, I m looking for a mutualfund who owns stocks like these so i don't have to watch them. I found GE investment grup owns 16% of gstrf. i have not found a mutual fund that owns gstrf in a big way, and i m trying to reduce my holdings not increase.
