MISLEADING POST and OLD NEWS, please read postings for 4/3 4/4 to see commentary on this article

You said:
FCC, Congress considering fees on Internet telephone calls

Congress is not considering this..

From the article:
Federal Communications Commission is preparing a report for Congress that may recommend stiff fees on Internet companies that want to provide low-cost long-distance service...........A coalition of small long-distance companies is lobbying the FCC to level the playing field by making Internet companies pay the same fees.

This is 2 yr. old news that has been blocked at every point and is YEARS away from being approved and enforced if ever (OK probably some day, they tax everything else). The government will not try to tax internet communications until it is completely entrenched in our society and even then it will require the infrastructure to monitor and provide metrics. This is a moving target in an industry with 6-9 mos. of obsoletion. Also, how would this effect overseas activity that has nothing to do with USA?
