Good News .. You Decide

Good News...You Decide [From Yahoo Chat Board, April 5]

Forgot to mention this little tidbit earlier, and, truthfully,
was hesitant to put it up. Reason: I don't like hearing or
reading rumors, so I really feel a bit two faced participating
in one...if you want to call this a rumor.

In any event, got a call yesterday from a very trusted friend,
who in turn has a very good friend who is a NYC broker with one of the large
houses. I think it's Merrill, but never having met
this lady (the broker), but knowing of her only thru my friend,
I'm really not sure. Regardless, she works for a big house in
NYC. She called my friend Friday, and told him to go long and
hard on ASND. She cited favorable earnings, and apparently some
other fundamental news, but also said there were bigger things
happening. She wouldn't (couldn't?) get specific, but assured
him this is a stock he absolutely has to be in. My friend
mentioned that I had already turned him on to the company, and
he already had a small position. She persuaded him to hold his
long position, and buy more if he could afford to. Since he
trades on line (and she knows this), no commissions involved...
just one friend giving advice to another.

He has passed on a few of her pieces of advice in the past, and
she has consistently been right on. Her last hot call was
Lucent, back in the fall of last year, which he mentioned to me,
and I passed on. Regardless, she does have a track record, and
this was her advice....buy it, or hold it if you have it.

Again, no logical basis for this "news". Just wanted to share
it with my friends on this thread. Rest assured, though, if she
is right, I will listen to all future "tips"...at least to a
limited extent, as befitting my conservative nature.

Take it all with a grain of salt, but....who knows, could be
some big things brewing.

Luck and Success to all,

Frankie

People should have enough sense to make their own choices when its comes to investing. But I do agree with you, there a lot of a-holes hyping stocks and anyone stupid enough to buy into a bb stock because of someone on SI hyping it , then I don't feel bad if they lose their butts.
