Starfish*, you are correct. I was thinking in terms of medical care, but you are correct - facilities, phones, etc. are all important too!

I actually wrote that <off topic> piece because Cheryl seemed to doubt my claims of experience with medical equipment.

Facilities Management--- A hospital can be viewed as it's own self contained city!
For instance if the power company fails, the hospital has their own emergency power, however that will
only provide minimal support of the hospital. <<

Consider also that these challenges to the support systems of hospitals (and nursing homes, schools, office buildings .....etc.) will be taking place during the coldest and darkest time of the year. Chilling.
