David,
Thanks for the added information. Please don't interpret my comments as being an attempt to downgrade my belief in the extraordinary potential of MVIS' concept. The point I tried to make, is that in a more or less distant future, any device representing hardware to act as an intermediate between the data source and the receiving end (i.e. one or more human beings) could be seen as obsolete. I can't see how this might be done, but VRD would also have been SfiFi only a few years ago.

MVIS is obviously gathering a lot of expertise within the optical fields in combination with data knowledge. This may well prove to be the beginning of new technologies we have yet to see the birth of. However, we shouldn't concentrate too much on the future beyond today's scope: More than one company with a brilliant technological outlook have failed in commercializing their products. More often than not in the quest to add features to products (heavy R&D) before harvesting on what's already there. I believe, although it has yet to be proven, that MVIS management are fully aware of this, and will go forth with the commercial side as soon as possible. In our case, we've seen a lot of development going on. Single to multi-colour, enhancement of pixel density, 3D, -you name it.

As NIKE would say in their commercials: Just do it!
