Ken,

The so-called "middlemen" will be taken out of the picture by
companies wishing to compete with the mighty DELL. All of
these companies will need to "cut the fat" in order to start
raking in the profits. Of course, if National Semiconductor's
claim of an all-encompassing chip is true, then all PC makers
will be scrambling to make whatever little profit there is to
make in the sub-$400 PC. Oh yes, DELL may be targetting the
larger customers, but prices will fall in that arena as well.
