I am a neophyte, no expert, no engineer.I'd appreciate some help.
Some other comments after the questions
1. Why are imbedded devices included on this thread (particularly imbedded devices that are not computers) is the pacemaker problem a problem for the pacemaker maker ("sorry we have to replace your pacemaker before year 2000") or for a computer maker? or for TAVA?
2.What happened to the Canadian Y2K guru who had a Y2K mutual fund? I once communicated with him.
3. What is DD?
I think this is a great thread. Smart folks, well informed, unusually cooperative. There are however some examples of violent, emotional defenders of short or long positions who go ape at the thought that
anyone can take the opposite position. I can refer you to another thread on SI where the longs drove out the shorts, and anyone who tried to rationally analyze the stock, and complained of conspiracies, socialists and traitors, while the stock went down and down and down and the company insiders bailed out.
