Could someone clarify something?

INCA...that is the abbreviation for Instinet... the ECN run by Reuters.

That is correct isn't it?

And if so, isn't the ECN utilized by a wide variety of users?

A recent post about INCA left me perplexed.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide some clarification.

>Also, if you make an ISLD order on the inside bid and INCA (or some >other market maker) refreshes behind you, consider cancelling the >order. They are using you as a fodder wall to get a lower price, >hence the stock will usually roll down at least one tick before it >moves back up, if at all

What do you mean by this?

ISLD 34 10 GSCO 34 /18 20
INCA 34 10 NITE 34 1/8 10

Is this the setup you are referring to? or a situation that INCA now vanishes at comes back at 33 7/8?
