AA, MZ, emil, other veterans....

Do you still think this is the "next Microsoft"? I was doing some thinking over the weekend and began to wonder about the original investment thesis here.

They've now had three drug "failures" -- the wart drug, the AIDS drug, and, apparently, the indication for psoriasis. Yes, I know, they are now working on a topical application, but that still doesn't bode too well...

So, what are we left with? Formavirsen -- which treats a small market. Crohn's Disease -- a fairly small market, with no real evidence yet that the Isis drug would be the treatment of choice. Maybe a drug for kidney transplant, but no info is out on that. Cancer drugs? They look good so far, but they are years away.

I'm begining to have nagging doubts about this company. Maybe its just that I had to much time to think over the weekend (ever wonder why stocks are usually down on Mondays?). In any case, I would like opinions on how you all think Isis is doing vis a vis their plans and expectations.
