Brezlin, the $40 includes a full time link to the net. You are essentially a lan station and do have to be careful to select No File Sharing or use firewall software so that nobody sneaks onto your system from the outside and plays around. I won't explain how to do that here<g>.

Brezlin, I see that Bruce already answered you. Obviously he knows more about the techno part than I do. I had no idea that someone could do bad things to my system. Fortunately I have tape drive backup. Using @home is as simple as clicking an icon and watching it connect to the internet in the same way you watch Microsoft Word load. No time charges. Period. In actual fact I spend about half as much time on the internet with @home as I did through Prodigy and Flash.net. Plus I don't have to pay phone charges.
