Mr Barge My source is the mouths of the brave souls who daily fly their Caries Interceptors to save us from dental disease. Ask several dentists about PDL injections and I am sure you will find out that a common sequela is hypersensitive teeth. For that reason many dentists only use the PDL for endodontic (root canal) procedures. Think about it, how can you forcefully inject 1.8 cc of your favorite anesthetic into a space the size of the periodontal ligament and not damage something. I believe also that there are many who are using the Stabident technique in place of the PDL injection. With Stabident the anesthetic is injected into the cancellous(spongy) bone around the tooth, not into the PDL. Regarding the PDL, I quote from a full page Milestone ad in the latest Dental Products Report: "Two injection sites are typically used and approx. 0.9 ml of anesthetic is delivered at each site. PDL injections become almost routine in many cases replacing the standard Inferior Alveolar Block." This is total bull. This company is running an old time medicine show. Why else would insiders be selling stock. Later
