Anyone feel this thread has gotten out of hand, with >150 posts/day on weekdays and >60/day on weekends? For someone who comes to the board in the evening, it's impossible, time-wise, to sit down and read all 150 posts. It's also hard to tell from the lead sentence which posts to focus on.

It's striking that the majority of the posts come from maybe 10 individuals. Do you think that some of you who access this board many times per day might make it easier on yourselves as well as others by consolidating your posts into fewer ones? Just a suggestion, meant in a spirit of helpfulness. I would also suggest that some of the posts are private, one-to-one communications with no general interest and would be better dealt with via e-mail.

iandiareii:

<...what's happened to Olaf Koch, progenitor of this thread.>?

Haven't heard from him in quite some time. Last time he dropped
by was during the last debate on whether or not the thread should
be split into two separate ones. (Roughly, TA and FA.) Was a few (?)
months ago, and I can't recall his vote...did seem to indicate
though, that he at least visits the thread of his own creation.

The whole population is subject to considerable ebb and flow,
but the civility, humor, and, foremost in my view, the information
remains superb, and wide-ranging. If you are ever laid up, it'd make
a good read, all the way forward from Olaf's No. 1 post.

If you're new to the sector, stock up on coffee and Maalox. (Especially Maalox!)

Lee......(PS, is that your name, if so, what nationality is it? Just curious...
