Eh Wayne, have a Molsons Beer with BC Pot! Don't read the following.

>>CRLum Take A Valium buddy! I made a mistake of Presstek analysis!<<<

No you did not make a mistake of the Presstek analysis. You admit
if a company is not #1 it will not dominate their particular industry.
You just thought Presstek's failure was in Semi's but in reality a
better company came from behind PressTek and passed them with a better
product in Direct Computer to printing plate market.

When Ballard finally releases their First commercial Fuel Cell product, then it can be compared to the IFC power plant to see which
is better. But thats is going to be in the next century.

>>>As far a I am concerned we see this from to different worlds. There still is no comparison of the technologies and their impact on their perspective industries. <<<

I really doubt any of the BIG Auto makers will let Ballard
Dominate the Fuel Cell Business if it becomes big business. Engines are big part of the Auto makers income. They even give packaged IC Racing engines to various race teams for on going R&D. The whole Auto
industry is base on 0-xxx KM/hr times and handling/speed through the cones. Engine power is one criteria that can make or break an Auto company. GM's Corvette is its Flagship car. No other Car in GM's lineup has a more powerful powerplant. The Dodge Viper is Chryslers #1 car. Ford has the Mustang.

Will all these companies buy generic FC Power plant from Ballard? Maybe if Ballard establishes a name for itself like Catepillar, Cummins Diesel, Briggs and Straton, but most likely for lower volume nonflagship vehicles where the numbers don't justify manufacturing a different FC/engine line.

GM, Honda, etc may buy Ballard Fuel Cells now to see how they work. GM developed Fuel injection in the 1960's only in the 1990's did Fuel Injection become mainstream. Its long term planning and R&D.

Its just like AMD, Cyrix, IDTI and anyone else can buying Intel Processors to see how the work. Then they come out with their own version to try and better Intels. NSM/Cyrix will announce a Single Chip PC tommorrow for $500 PCs and other consumer products. Are Intel's Days numbered? Could be with IBM backing AMD and IDTI.

Intel's advantage was that Intel set the standards. IN Fuel Cells as long as it produces adequate power at a resonable effiency and is convenient to use it doesn't really matter how the power is produced.

>>>Please do not respond to this post. I am not interested is debateing this with you!!!<<<
