**** OT--on Jesse Berst on Adobe *****
Rod,
Funny how Jesse mentions Persuasion--which Adobe has announced it is dropping--and doesn't mention programs like Frame, Premiere, After Effects, PageMill, or Adobe's Postscript business (I know I'm forgetting another one in here, but so be it). Also, he takes Adobe to task for not switching to PCs sooner. Well, the fact is that the mainstream publishing industry is one of the last Mac strongholds. Adobe's shift coincided fairly closely with publishing's shift, and probably is leading it slightly.

That said, there are ways in which he is right, that Adobe has been "sleepy" for the past couple of years, ever since they paid too much for Frame. If their planned replacement for PageMaker works out, that perception should change.
