Global Marine files $425 mln shelf offer WASHINGTON, April 9 (Reuters) - Global Marine Inc. filed Thursday a shelf offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission for up to $425 million in debt securities and preferred and common stock. The Houston-based offshore drilling contracting company said it will use net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include refinancing of debt, working capital, capital expenditures, acquisitions and repurchases or redemptions of securities.
