Yaacov: Forget about GSM. The third generation global telecom standard will be based on B-CDMA. InterDigital Communications has had it's patents challenged numerous times in the German Patent Court. Each time their patents have been affirmed by the court. Initially, Samsung and Siemens signed alliance agreements with InterDigital after losing their patent challenge. Several weeks ago Alcatel signed an alliance agreement with InterDigital AMEX:IDC). You might want to check out the IDC thread on SI. Regards, Bob S.
