<<LU IS WAY OVERVALUED - BELIEVES IT SHOULD BE A $ 40 STOCK - NO FACTS -JUST HIS OPINION>>

Bill: It would be very interesting to know on what basis he develops a current conclusion of "overvalued" on a company like LU, which, by almost any measure, is a premiere global telecommunications and networking powerhouse just beginning to develop an apparently awesome critical mass as it roll out its organization and products for the world marketplace. Just curious (but more inclined to laugh!). Not saying it won't hit $40, but the thought makes me start to salivate (and it's dripping on my tie. Darn!!!)

Thanks for the news. ...Tim

<ANALYST JOE KERNAN ON CNBC SAYS LU IS WAY OVERVALUED - BELIEVES IT SHOULD BE A $ 40 STOCK - NO FACTS -JUST HIS OPINION>

A lone voice crying out in the wilderness.

Probably just mad he didn't buy in time.

Got embarrassed at the club when he told buddies he didn't own LU.

If Lucent hits $40 I'm going to mortgage the house and BUY.

RC

Joe is no analyst and never was. He was a retail broker, now he's a reporter. Current valuation takes into account LU's dominance of emerging technologies via Bell Labs, leadership in existing technologies, global service and financial clout. For example, LU can fully finance a WDM deal for a client while Ciena can't. This is real value. $65 might be a little rich (60x forward earnings), but it's no worse than MSFT or PSFT with kindred growth potential.
