Hi
I think that all of you are missing a point
you r all assuming that the low sub$100 and sub$500 market with low profit margin
will now be a competitive market for INTC from AMD and NASM but the higher
market will stay with INTC
Now I would like to ask, why would AMD want to stay in the low profit/margin
category only and not move up to, and get a slice of the more lucrative market?
Now that they are legitimized as a INTEL competitor and they are in IBM's and
CPQ's boxes why wont they clone chips fast and start a attack on that market to
also someone posted that the CEO sees a strong second half, really? if he could not
predict this Q's earnings shortfall till a few weeks ago how can he know what will
happen in 3 months from now
Go and ask
canal (who thinks that INTEL is still well positioned for the next century but not for this
one)
