I've looked at several on-line trading accounts, and the relatively high commissions plus the premium eats up the value. $200 of stock at .005 is 40,000 shares. Add Discover's charge of $25 plus 2.75% of the gross, and you have $61 in buying and selling costs. And that is the best I've seen so far. Buying a larger volume sounds good, except most of these micro's don't move enough to trade 200,000 shares (only $1,000). It takes a nice climb in price just to get even. Is there an on-line with better prices? Suretrade will only trade to 1/32; ditto Datek.
