re:"Unfortunately such reports make no distinction . . ."

Matt, Elliot, Gary, et. al.,
I've been following this thread for a couple of months now, and
your cool-headed, thoughtful analyses has persuaded me to be long on IAIC.

So, today I took the opportunity to double my position, and am expecting some nice returns by the beginning of May.

Still, I wonder who that "someone is out there selling for no reason!"

Matt,

After reading the Bloomberg Newswire reports regarding the recent falls of Peritus and Viasoft, another common element comes through loud and clear: problematic distribution for both of these companies.

PTUS indicated that their salesforce was ineffective in marketing its Y2K tool while VIAS blamed poor European distribution for their ills.

OTOH, IAIC cannot be viewed in the same way thanks to the over 3,000 salesforce of its primary alliance partner, Computer Associates.

When it comes to distribution, CA is king of the hill.

Tool time has arrived ... so much unremediated code and so little time for the body shops to effectively handle.

Regards.

Elliot
