re: <<Is it your intention to warn us, who have done due diligence, of an eminent disaster in Dell's earnings or share price? >>

I am not trying to "Warn" anyone of anything. I am just talking about the enivetable which has not arrived yet.
With the stock down today, and after a weekend of reading the flyers in my paper, HWP P II-300 for $1,999 I am starting to think that the competition may be a little tougher for Dell this Q and is expected.

re: <<If you want to warn us, then you must cite current, pertinent and cogent data to support these dire warnings. If we have investigated the fundamentals, including company specific data as well as market data>>>

The evidence comes CPQ and INTC. ASP declines, INTC's lack of sucess in sellng its higher end P II chips.
Slowing growth in the PC industry.
The accelerated pace of announced price cuts.

I am taking this information and looking forward.
If you only rely on history as your guide, then look at the fate of other over hyped stocks, the good ones and the bad ones.
If you want me to cite the flaw in the ballance sheet, I will let you point it out to me after it is too late. If you want me to cite DELL specific points, The only one I can offer are the Price cuts of their highest end PC last month. (This one will not hold water with any one on the thread so I am reluctant to even mention it.) That is not much. In the best short trades, there is little tangible evidence of the price action to come. It is a suprize.

Who will be suprized the most ?
