CR, It is obvious that we play on different sides of
the fence. You obviously seem to feel quite comfortable
in your abilities in which to assess the risk and valuation
of your investments and feel the need to express your opinion
in which to help others who are like minded. It is obvious that
most individuals on this thread are long term investors. That
does not mean that we do not want to hear all sides of the story.
It is always nice to have an opposing opinion to keep us all
grounded, focused to understand the true value of our
investment.I know that you feel that BLD is ready to topple, so
you insist on trying to post to the best of your ability,
negative aspects in such a way that you create such an
antagonistic feeling that most just give you nasty responses
back instead of actually really trying to debate in a healthy constructive manner. Maybe when you feel the need to play the
down side, share your strategy with the others so that we can
also protect our investment if we so wish. Others will do the
same. I'm sure others would like to share strategy to your
benifit just the same. If none of this appeals to you, maybe
I can suggest that you post your short strategies and advice to
other threads that focus on the short-option plays.

Or simply start you own thread for Ballard Short pics.

This is all IMHO. I would rather have healthy debate that is
a benefit to all rather than all this animosity that does
not achieve anything. Good luck in your investments.

Regards
WB

"Companies that want to protect their Top secrets don't issue patents
if they figure no one else will be able to figure them out."
CR, are you kidding? There is no way that a reputable company is not going to protect its products from competitors. Without patents, they can't raise financing because of the lack of protection. If they share their secret with investors, its no longer a secret and they are in trouble.
Would Daimler, Ford etc. invest in unprotected fuel cell technology? Hardly. If Ballard did share unpatented technological information to sell partnership agreements, Sid would probably have been correct in his assessment that we would be able to buy Ballard in the single digit price range. In my opinion, your statement falls into the same category as Sid's. I think it is called "boneheaded".
I do appreciate contrarian opinion and I have sold 80% of my Ballard, but I think you did misspeak.
Regards, Ed
