michael o'brian an analyst with soundview finacial said klic said more order cancellations and pushouts from intel will happen to a lot more companies. " the order recovery is farther out then people think." investors have been counting on a recovery late in the third quarter now it seems first or second quarter of 1999 is more realistic. it will be interesting to see what intc says. roly regarding klic, if you check my posts i stated their was a good chance klic losses money in the third quarter-estimates were 42 cents-people on that thread that i was nuts and told me management said they were comfortable with numbers. i like klic but even though i covered my short i stated it will be heading to the teens.its better to trade shorts in these markets because lquidity is so strong. thats what i did with klic should have covered amat in the low 30's. also, remember if the economy is slowing and semi's are cyclical thats not good news for the group.
