On topic, and not a particular response to anyone, but vis-a-vis today's news...I gotta tell ya that one of the things I've been doing since I got into CSMA is checking out auto stores for the little smelly hats, etc. At first I couldn't find 'em anywhere, and now I can find 'em almost everywhere, routinely.

Case in point: I just got back from trying to find a belt for my Mom's busted vacuum cleaner, and saw one of the Sear's Parts America (I think it's called) stores. Ran inside, and sure enough, there they were -- in fact, the most I've seen on display yet. All hats, and no boots or dreamcatchers, but the most hats (including, ummm, strawberry flavored!) that I've seen in one spot yet, maybe 45 to 50 total.

The best part? When you walk into this specific store (I've been in two now and the layout seems consistent), the cashier and service desk is on the left, so that if you continued straight ahead you'd be paralleling its length. All the racks run off to the right, perpendicular to the sales and parts counter. And guess what? Air fresheners are the first thing you see on the right rack as you walk in the store. I mean, they're right THERE, practically staring you in the face!

Now that's not AdHatters' doing, obviously, but it's the best position point (or whatever the technical phrase for placing is) in the store. A whole helluva lot better, I guarantee, than being in the far right rear corner next to the spark plugs, windshield wipers and rebuilt transmissions. The hats were selling for $3.99 each. I understand the dreamcatcher goes for almost twice that.

I didn't have time to chat up a salesperson to see how they were selling because I left Mom and kid in the car outside (not a Corvette), saying "I just want to check something out real quick."

The moral of this story? The AdHatters press release is probably no exaggeration, but right on the money. They're also in Auto Zone and Pep Boys here in San Antonio. I go to Albertson's regularly, so I'll let you know when they pop up there (where I admit I hadn't thought to look before).

TraderGreg: Thanks, CSGC had it coming! What were they down today, another nickel? They've only got about three nickels left. Glad I'm out. I'd trade five shares of CSGC for a share of CSMA any day of the week and twice on Sunday. In fact, that's what I just did.
