incomep,

You make a very good point. If MUSE is as bad as Bruce Olson proclaims then I would expect the script numbers to be decreasing.
In light of the release of Viagra, I would expect that if there were so many dissatisfied patients that they would not be using nor trying MUSE over the past month. In light of all the Viagra hype, I believe that flat numbers instead of decreasing numbers is good. I suspect that for Q1 that the total units sold will not decrease because of product used in England. I do believe that in the next couple months we will see a decrease in script numbers in the USA because of Viagra but IMO this will only be a transient effect and once the Viagra dust settles we will see much stronger numbers than in the past. I also e-mailed Nina this pm with some specific questions. I will post if she answers.

Regards,

VLAD

PS Nina just phoned me as I finished typing this post. I had a nice Q&A session with her. Boy did she ever get back to me fast(less then 1/2 hour after I sent the e-mail). I have to go now but I will post our discussion when I get back tonight. No bad news in the discussion. <<gg>>.

Incomep, I agree that it is a good sign for VVUS if sales are flat with Viagra so close to being available. Do I think the pill is hyped? Sure, to some extent.

I share your concern for Viagra's possible effect on the eye, especially considering that a large segment of the ED population have diabetes, which is in itself a major cause of blindness.

Remember that old wive's tail about going blind from masturbation? Maybe it will be safe to use Viagra up until the point where you need glasses. <g>

What is VVUS slogan? "Local problem, local solution" or something to that effect. Same philosophy fits the injectables.
