<<do i earn interest on this while it sits in my waterhouse account (money market fund)?>>

Big Lou: Thanks for your question. I'm reluctant to advise you on the interest policies when cash is deposited in your account from the sale of calls or puts. Based on my experience with Quick & Reilly, I received interest on all cash transactions less the margin requirement required for the outstanding position. Perhaps other investors on this thread can answer based on experience with Waterhouse.

Another point, which I hate to admit, is I have NEVER implemented a bull put spread. Though I understand the concept, actual implementation is sometime different than the theory in reference material. Therefore, I reluctant to give advise to the thread on a strategy I've never established. Sorry I haven't been more help,

Mike
