To All - Time vs. Computer Cost Analysis

Cost 40 56 128 4096 16,384

100K 2secs 35hrs 10(19) yr 10(76)yr 10(304)yr

1M .2 secs 3.5 hr 1018) 10(75) 10(303)

100MM 2msecs 2 min 10(16) 10(73) 10(301)

1B .2msec 13 sec 10(15) 10(72) 10(300)

100BB 2 micro .1 sec 10(13) 10(70) 10(298)
secs

I'm sorry, this chart turned out bad. The gist is this. The top line is the bit level (40, 56, 128, 4096 (JAWW) and 16,384 which they also have.)

As an example, if you spent $100,000, you could crack a 40 bit code in 2 seconds. For the same money, it would take 10 to the 76th power in years - 10(76) - to crack. Or at 100 Billion dollars, it would take 10(70) years to crack our 4096 bit code.

So, Juanita, can it be done? You tell me!

Saltbox,

You should change your name to Goldbox, for the information you have just relayed is invaluable.

Let me make sure that I understand.

Ok, Jaws can license it's technology to vendors in other countries, so therefore the export issue becomes a non-issue, because they'll still be getting royalty payments from the licenses. Is that correct?

And I like the part that you stated that basically says that the U.S. portion (EBIZ) will be selling to the U.S. and the Canadian portion, (JAWW) will be selling to Canada. That is BRILLIANT!!! What'd I tell ya, that with both countries working together, we can do ANYTHING!!!

But what really drew my attention was the part about the cell phones. You know, I'm not really technical when it comes to computers, but I sure understand phones!! And I know that security on cell phones is of paramount importance to some. If JAWW can encrypt cell phone transmissions, then WOW!!! You're right. It does boggle the mind!

That's wonderful!

Thank you, Saltbox, for your report.

Juanita

Salt,

Thanks for the good work and reporting back.

2 questions..one about the company, and one about the trading activity.

1) Did you talk to him about the US laws governing encryption? I know there is a lot of fuss about getting to a point of encryption that "terrorists" etc could use these lines and the CIA/FBI etc could never break through.. so will this even be allowed here? Are there any laws currently on the books for this? Are there any pending laws? I dont want to be a negative on the party but we should know these sort of answers as well.

2) Per the trading today.. it was very weird. They brought bid from 1.06 to 1.25 and many of those trades were like 500 shares or so.. especially between 1.125 and 1.31 bid. This is very weird, because usually I see MM's bring the bid DOWN on those low sort of volumes, not UP. Im not sure what to make of it. Anyone?

Thanks for your work Salt. I really wish on days like this I could sit and trade and read SI during the day. Its hard to position trade when you have no idea if there is any reason your stocks are moving.. until AFTER the trading day closes. Sigh =)
