To All;

Sitting here this morning (holiday here in Malaysia) getting caught up on my financial education on SI. Have the TV running with CNBC's Business Asia program running.

Story on the Rabbit Club, an investing club made up of ordinary Japanese investors. Somewhat like our own Grandmas. It turns out that Japanese investment houses have and are counseling that mutual funds are a gamble that should be avoided. Now with the Big Bang in effect these folks haven't a clue as to what to do with their $10,000 a month investments. Our own FIDO is setting up several funds for Japanese investors and beginning to advertise to counter balance the attitudes of the Japanese Investment houses.

No wonder the financial system is hurting. Even the mediocre Mutual Funds provide some form of security and dollar cost averaging for the little guys. The more I learn the more confused I get. Am I alone out here?? or what??
