A request:

The first time a stock is mentioned, it would be helpful to me and maybe others if the symbol were accompanied by the company name and a one line description, as: "Rentech, RNTK, converting gas to liquids for various industrial uses."

Sometimes people do it, sometimes not, but a lot of symbols go by, one can't buy or even research them all, and this would be an aid to keeping mental track of the conversation.
