But GLM and RDC have seen similar selling recently. GLM is only 3 points above their recent lows... Even NE was down over 2% today.

PK,

A nugget in your post:

ESV had heavy selling yesterday and someone(a fund, no doubt) sold 300 ESV apr 25 calls today at 2 5/8. Easy money since ESV will no doubt return to the 24 range over the next couple of days.

I'd love it this thread could make use of the 100 posts/day more in line with this kind of info. We could all make better, faster decisions (and maybe more money) if we watch particular stocks and shared things like abnormally high call volume, big price swings etc.

I think no one would complain about 100 posts of this type of data gathering and distillation. After all, while I love the spice of this thread, I love making trading decision because someone found something important and has shared it.

Regards,

Steve

There may be some doubt. I think the Mavis story is likely to be a non-event, and we may see a rally instead. The story seems more of a maybe story than a significant news story. ESV's price decline has already discounted an enormous amount of bad news. If it becomes clear that the bad news isn't substantial bad news, the stock will rally. Given strong earnings that are pretty much in the bag, ESV remains perhaps the most undervalued stock in the sector.
