News - But not $$$$ NEWS.....

<<SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1998--Global Village Communication, Inc., (NASDAQ:GVIL) today announced that, after the completion of the sale of its modem business to Boca Research announced last week, it will change its name to OneWorld Systems, Inc. and will trade on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol OWLD.

Reflecting a new corporate direction, OneWorld Systems will focus on a new family of communications servers aimed at the small and medium size office market. The company's new product family will combine Internet access, routing, remote access, fax server and shared modem capabilities all in a single, easy-to-use product.>>

I think this is suppose to make us recognize that they are listening - but they still can't announce anything new..that would not be cool....
Now on the brighter side......Just my personal opinion.....If they have some wonderous new One World product...the cannot announce it yet... WHY?? because the deal with Boca - I still say that we all know that traditional one line modems are rapidly becoming obselete... well IMO if I had developed the replacement - I could release it BUT, my existing business would slump to nothing - so why not sell it to a competitor and after the deal was done - release the new product that would "kill" the old product.....I know, I know this is a qlimmer in the eye hopeful way to look at things but I felt it was worth mentioning.....

On another note..looking at old SEC filings it appears that Selvin sold some shares Mid- February - This had to be about the time that the Boca Deal started....My response to this is - Mr. Selvin is not dumb..If he was going to "sell us down the river" then he KNOWs that the SEC would view this as an insider trade (Illegal type) as he was privy to the information that the stock was going to be worthless (or nearly)...so, IMO there has to be some future "real value" or he might have some legal problems......

Opinion Only,
Byram
