Robert & Roger:

Robert, thanks for BNT's March 1998 10K link, and Roger, I appreciate your thoughts on BNT's cash-burn rate that is in reality slower than I had first thought. You're absolutely right, BNT has enough cash to last for a few years at the present burn rate.

As I expressed in an earlier post, I was feeling somewhat suspicious that BNT's deal with Schwarz Pharma had hit a snag. Two things in the 10K give me a little hope that the deal is still on. First, the Schwarz Pharma deal was prominently mentioned several times in the 10K, including in the fist and second paragraphs. This tells me it is still at the centerpiece of managements quest for renewed growth. Second, BNT spent $100K sometime in 1997 (the 10K did not provide an exact date)as a non-refundable deposit for the proposed acquisitions from Schwarz.

BNT apparently thinks highly enough of the arrangement it spent some money. I'll take that as a very good indication that management feels there is a gold mine somewhere in there. However, if the deal takes much longer than another quarter, I will wonder if it will ever get done.

Regards,
Kirk
