CPU Idle By performance, I meant any program/operation performance degradation due to perhaps a lag time in restarting the CPU. Since my own processor used to run quite hot, a simple finger test sufficed to tell me its was now quite cool. No need for me to instrument it. I believe I got more than a ten degree delta. That's the reason I "nagged ya" to try it. No cost, no impact cooling solution. BTW, you might want to check out that link I posted earlier on RAID. Networm
