Getcher, Technical analysis absorbs the normal fundamentals. What I mean by fundamentals override technicals are in the extreme cases. INTC's warning was an obvious overide of the technicals. As for technicals noticing leaks prior to news, yes it can do that. I am not a fundamentalist but I will not discount the fundamentals, and the fundamentalist should not discount technical analysis. The market can be timed, with good success, in only certain environments. As for market timeing all the time(every day), that is not probable. With my TA I have been extremely successful in timing when the market is range trading with no clear short-term direction. It is less successful in a major trend. Seeya
