John:

Your experiences are not necessarily the phones fault, but rather the carrier. Where are you located? I know the Sprint network in LA is about the worst in the country, full of holes.

I think the Q phone gives you 1.5 hours of talk time, not 4.5. And that time is good when in CDMA networks. The batteries will drain much faster when the phone is continually searching for a network.

If you are in a bad coverage area, you should probably use a dual mode phone until the network is filled in. (The LA network will be filled in by years end) - You can check your Sprint coverage area at their website www.sprintpcs.com.

Good luck to all!
