Hi ole 49r, Thanks for the education re 1932 gold/currency manipulations. I bet that only a handful of people can recall that episode and and it seems none of them are using it to make monetary policy in the US. History to repeat?

I'm trying to get an understanding of EU impact on US$ and don't see how you came up with.....
"31% U$ deval: now 2 ways to settle global debts currently: Au and U$
That is a 50/50 weighting of the global debt settlement pie."

Aren't there a lot more US$ floating around than AU? Seems like the present weighting would be heavily towards $. If so then the introduction of the EU has a greater impact on the US$. The amount of gold is not going to change. Help me on this.

Also, I was looking for some feedback on my post....

Message 3973099

I'm trying to get a handle on the gold backing of the US$ to compare with numbers being tossed around for the new EU. Seems to me that this will impact the relative strength of the two currencies.

Thanks for your help, Pete

Hello 9'er. XAU Update.

iqc.com

The XAU hit it's price target yesterday morning and now has completed wave 1 and 2 of it's correction wave. Wave 3's are the biggies, so the correction should start accelerating now.

I would expect that we would get a hard bottom in the high 70's and then go into an indecision triangular pattern.

XAU is way ahead of POG and needs to take a breather. POG also needs consolidation before the next up move.

Did anybody join me in shorting CCI or YHOO yesterday?
