I respect Pat and appreciate his argument, but the guy who doesn't know anything about IOM and SYQT, knows he wants some removable storage, and has the Best Buy/Computer City/Circuit City/CompUSA/Office Depot guy tell him that for a little more you can get 10x the amount with the SparQ for "a little more" money (Zip @ $129-$149) or "the same money" (Zip+), is going to buy the SparQ, helping to keep SYQT alive and taking an incremental sale away from IOM. Certainly the purchaser doesn't consider the $299 JAZ.

Especially when you have some favorable write-ups by magazines (whether others slam the SparQ is irrelevant--they're like movie reviews and if you have two good ones you can plaster those all over the place) and attractive two-page spreads by some mail order houses, thereby validating its existence.

Just my opinion.
