Christine:

<<So while I understand what you are saying, some Christians like Dwight do tend to insinuate that they are more ethical and moral than people with other belief systems.>>

I don't pretend to speak for Dwight, but I believe his point is that any system of ethics or morality based on something other than the Word of God is mutable, subject to change at the whim of the one who embraces it. That is not a solid enough foundation for ethics. Rather, our ethical and moral behavior must be based on something immutable and that is the Word of God. Anything less is doing what is right in one's own eyes and ultimately that could lead to chaos. However, as I said earlier, it is one's relationship with God that is of primary importance. Everything else flows from that starting point.

<<Also, I am not sure whether you are aware that many non-Christians do not believe in everything about Christ and Christianity, >>

Yes, I am profoundly aware of this. But to just consider Jesus some sort of profit and nothing more is self contradicting. Read the Gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) of Jesus and you will read the claims He actually made about Himself. If your belief about Jesus is correct, then Jesus was either insane or a liar, but He was neither.
