why did MS not upgrade HP if is better ? HP makes nice-nice with Sun
Hewlett-Packard Co. (HWP) has backed off on its
plan to create a separate standards process for its
embedded Java clone. HP officials now say the
company is ?in very productive discussions? with
Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW) to make its clone
identical with Sun?s EmbeddedJava specification.
Sun officials said the two companies are talking, but
said it expected an agreement between the two
would take "several weeks to resolve." Story to
follow. -- Deborah Gage, Sm@rt Reseller
