SCADA info. - (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition). Off the top, personally have a position and feel this may be self-serving but here goes anyway....... It appears the name of the game in the gassy side of the oilpatch is to keep costs cut as close to the bone as possible. Some of the costing issues may include using high tech. applications and it's quite possible SCADA is one of the applications. One little (scary financials imo) vse listed (oh-oh...) company is Unitec-UIC and there's a thread at exchange2000.com In my opinion (remember bias stated above) there's some decent backgrounder information regarding the general technology. The Smyth guy is the pres. and seems to be providing some informative posts. At the moment Unitec has an application in the Mitsue field working for Renaissance exchange2000.com A basic intro. to SCADA is posted at exchange2000.com There is some oilpatch application spin also at exchange2000.com and exchange2000.com Intent of above links is sincerely meant for general information and apologies if it's sounding hypish, I do hold a position.
