i started a discussion about wind vs msft a while ago on this thread, if any newcomers are interested... discussion starts at post 2813.

in any case, msft is worth $200,000,000,000. wind is worth 900,000,000. that's a market cap ratio of about 250:1. i'm not an m&a expert, but sounds as if a buyout is possible, and maybe cheaper than trying to go to battle against wind river.
