Two possible reasons for postponement: (1) Staff will recommend approval (if so, no need for advisory group recommendation); or 2) request for additional data. If FDA was going to reject application at this time they would let the advisory group meet and recommend rejection. This would provide cover from patients and their congressional reps. Staff approval could be announced any time, including on April 9; request for additional data would not likely occur until May date. Just another opinion from someone long the stock.
