Hi Upick, Kimberlite mineral types vary, as George pointed out earlier. The density of course increases as you go deeper, but it has been found in the NWT that the 2.7 tons per M3 is a very good average number to go with. In fact you will see this number used many times, associated with kimberlite bodies worldwide. George, peter, and of course Walt can elaborate much better than I.
