Not really. If Osicom did not have the Gigamux, and hence the lead, Mr. Baker would not have been in a position to say: "We're trialing DWDM this year, ..."

It seems as if CIEN also want to be in the metro DWDM market. But without a real product can't even have trials. Well, when you are behind, that's precisely where you are!

Now for the announcement by CIEN today. An announcement for $13 mil. contract by a company with market cap of CIEN is like Osicom announcing a contract for an amount well below $1 mil. with a news release.

Is this a sign of changing time?

Craig,

I first want to clarify that this latest Ciena contract isn't a short-haul one, right? You're just making a point that Ciena gets contracts in general while Osicom doesn't, right?

Secondly, Thanks for the article. I don't see how this can be misinterpreted as a positive for Osicom.
