Zelazny
is truly a great author. A good book showing his strong scientific bent is one called "Flare", co-written with T. Tryon, I believe. I always enjoy authors who have a solid understanding of the Universe and the "real processes" which affect us all.

"Flare" revisits the "clean sun" phenomena that was seen in the 17th century. Sunspots disappeared from the face of the sun for many years. In Flare it happens again, good read.
