From what I absorbed at the MEG (Calgary mining conference last week), this new "Front Range" piece of AB property is considered prospective.

Already $1.5million has been spent on the property (by Cameco/Diamet, as the piece may show on your older map as being claimed by). It was by chance that this land was let go by those 2 companies. This $1.5mil information is now publicly available. Hawkeye/GG now have the land, and the info.

Angular and sub-angular diamond indicator minerals have already been found on the property, meaning that they have not travelled far (glacial and river movement smooths the edges), - evidence of a proximal source. The company plans to get on this property ASAP. Apex Geoscience will head up the fieldwork, which is very good news because they are best educated & experienced in the AB geology (they've worked closely with the AGS, and several companies active in the area). --See the latest ELM newsR as to why this property looks so good from a geologist's perspective, posted on the Diamonds in Alberta SI thread (-ELM just got a chunk right beside where HAW's property is).

HAW's new AB land is located SE of Hinton, ie, the next property block down, south of New Claymore..

Good luck folks-- that's all I know for now! A new Enersource map with the property showing should be available soon from the company.

Cheers,

PS - in terms of the presence of a favourable fault/ tectonic feature for kimberlite escape from deep within the earth's mantle, the STZ (Snowbird Tectonic Zone) runs through or adjacent to this property.
