verbally, Mark.

It has happened many times.

I will tell you of my experience in one meeting.
I was meeting with the Moslem leaders in an Amerian city over political and social issues. The most prominenet member of the Moslem community in this city happened to be an old friend of mine.
My moslem friend had read some of my writings on the Palesinian issues years before and had contacted and from this meeting we had become friends. As the years pasted and my moslem friend became more acquainted with my views, he became more aggressive in pushing Islam in our conversations, and I of course witnessed Christ to him and the errors of the Koran (years before as a campus minister at a Universtity with many Moslesm I had studied the Koran to help me minister more effectively to the Moslems students).
My friend is very rich and he uses much of his wealth to spread his false religion.
He even built a Mosque in our community which I have frequented.
The Moslems in the Mosque were always very polite and kind even thought they knew my strong stand on their religion.

Now back to the meeting. There were only 6 people involved in this meeting. Me an my Moslem friend agreed that before the meeting we would have time to discuss religion. He wanted to convert me to Islam and he knew I wanted to covert him to Christ.
The Moslems presented their case very from the Koran. Thir arguments from the Koran had no substance. There strongest arguments were the questions directed against modern degenerate so called Christians nations like America. Why were nations so degenerate if Christianity is so good??? They had a hard time understanding the difference between real Christianity and cultural christianity.

Then it was my turn. Remember, these were Moslem religious leaders in this community.
I first told them that I read and studied the Koran and there was one thing in the Koran that I found lacking but before telling them I wanted to establish something first.
We all agreed that Allah--God was a Holy God without sin. Then we agreed that men commit a lot of sins. We also agreed that sin brings darkness of the mind and darkness of the soul. The conversation got real serious as we talked about the sin in all human hearts and that a pure God could not tolerate sin. ONce I had focused their minds away from social and national sins to the sins of our own hearts, they all became very quiet and open.
Then I told them what I found lacking in the Koran. There was no real solution to the sin problem in mens heart. Then I asked them how would they ever face and fellowship with the pure and Holy Allah with having their sins washed clean.
Then I turned to the Christian Scriptures and showed them how Jesus was the Lambe of God who had taken away the sins of mankind and cleansed mankind and established in Christian hearts the righteouness of God that was necessary to face and fellowship with a pure and Holy Allah--God. I pointed out that the Koran simply did not provided for that righteouness but actually condemned the very sacrifice of Jesus that actually gives that righteouness.
The peace, quietness and civility soon ended with my friend bursting into rage along with another Moslem leader. It was too late though.
One of the Moslem leaders was still sitting in quietness and penance mood and asked could I explain more about this. The seed of the Gospel was planted and was taking root. I explained a little more and directed him to read the Gospels for himself. The leader, my Moslem friend then stood up and demanded that we stop the religious discussion.
The end of that discussion was ugly in the eyes of man but never the less beautiful.

We do not need to patronize the Moslems and Jews. They are very intelligent people who can handle truth and reality like all other men, if their hearts have been prepared by the Holy Spirit.
