Good afternoon, Christine.

I have no problem with non-Catholics worshipping in my church. In fact, I welcome it because I believe the richness and beauty of our liturgy should be experienced by all who wish to join in. However, for the President or any other non-Catholic to knowingly take Holy Communion when he does not believe that it is the body of Christ doesn't sit very well with me and most other Catholics I know. And then to question Cardinal O'Connor's knowledge on the matter is downright disrespectful. Someone who is not Catholic would have a hard time understanding this because it is a mystery. Heck, I have a hard time understanding it, but I believe so it doesn't matter.

Plus, I doubt whether he was in a state of grace at the time. Maybe a state of Gracen!
