My theory is that these small devices (palm tops, auto pc ,etc.)
will become more and more popular in the future (let's not even
mention Smart cards) ....

Now, If I were MSFT ... The first thing I would do is make sure
the Palm Pilot is absolutely not compatible with 95, NT, CE, etc ...
Next, I would make the Palm Pilot require a 3rd party software
to import, export XLS, DOC and specially e-mail based file ...
(e.g. pst and pab (exchange/outlook based files)

Lastly, MSFT doesn't support off-line or on-line browsers for the PalmPilot.

Not too many users will buy 3coms palm pilot if they can't read or transfer their Excel, Word, Outlook/Exchange file from their desktop.

And just for hah's I am going to give away CE for free???
Or how about this, any customers who purchase any device running
CE can get a coupon for a free upgrade to WIN98.

Michael fades, jumps, shoots, shooooshhh, nothing but NET.
