If it weren't for all of the hype, I'd be shorting AAPL right now. This company is truly ill, and while it can be saved, it is not apparent that it will be. If it is saved, it will be a vastly different company than it was. I'm not sure that Jobs can do it.

Please don't get me wrong. I was a diehard Macintosh user. (It was a painful experience for me to buy my first DELL [also my first PC] when it was apparent that AAPL was in trouble. I even owned AAPL stock in the mid-30s. Got out in time, at the same time I gave up on the Mac.) I think its sad that the better technology lost. Unfortunately, the best idea does not always get picked up. Also, AAPL has no one other than itself to blame for this. The failure to license the technology was fatal.

I'm sure that the Power Mac G3 is great. Unfortunately for AAPL, these machines will not achieve widespread acceptance until they become more uniform with PC architecture, and are supported by more software firms.

Just my thoughts. It's interesting to chat with you.
